Creation of a website-store for the book of the publishing house "Chorna Hora"
"Chorna Hora" is a book publishing house specializing in reprinting important texts of Ukrainian history and pedagogy. To reprint Sofia Rusova's memoirs from 1937, the client requested a separate promo site with the possibility of direct ordering of the book - without being tied to the main catalog.
Client task
The publishing house needed not just an online store, but a presentation page for the book: to tell about the figure of Sofia Rusova, show the value of the publication, and allow the reader to place an order in one click, without unnecessary steps and distractions.
What did they do?
- Structure and content blocks:A page-by-page presentation was designed — the main one with a quote and cover, separate sections "About the Author" and "What is this book about" so that the reader first becomes interested in the story and only then moves on to purchase.
- Shop and order processing:WooCommerce is configured with an order form, quantity selection, and integration of the Ukrainian payment gateway LiqPay for online payment.
- Layout and adaptability:Based on Elementor, a layout is assembled that displays correctly on mobile devices, with optimized WebP images for fast loading.
Result
A concise one-page store was created that works as an independent showcase for the book: it tells the story of Sofia Rusova, conveys the atmosphere of the publication, and allows you to order the book in a few clicks — without unnecessary load on the main website of the publishing house.
